How to work with PIP

Message from the Founders

Jim Milio and Jeanette Milio

In November 2023 we launched PIP Media,  a 501C3 non-profit film and television production studio set up to create content that elevates the human consciousness with audiences of all ages, ethnicities, and genders, all over the world.

After realizing over 600 hours of award-winning film and television content which is globally distributed through major studios, leading network stations, and global streaming platforms, we are at a place in our career that enables us to produce hand-selected projects that can initiate real change.

With the launch of the PIP Media production studio, we envision producing scripted and non-scripted content that entertains, educates, and elevates the audience, celebrating authentic voices, soothing visuals, and mind-opening stories.

Additionally, we enjoy sharing our industry experience with emerging and expanding professionals and therefore launched educational programs that provide comprehensive guidance and hands-on tools in the development, finance, production, and distribution of film and television content.

Crafting Impactful Narratives for Lasting Transformation

Perfection In Progress

How PIP Works - for Filmmakers and for Donors

PIP Media, a non-profit 501(c)(3) film production studio, is committed to crafting content that elevates human consciousness, driven by the overarching mission of implementing enduring societal change.

Support Our Mission

At “Perfection in Progress Media (PIP)” our mission is to support, produce, and fund exceptional film and television projects that serve as powerful catalysts for positive change. By promoting uplifting stories that educate, elevate, and illuminate the human (and animal) experience, we aim to both inform and transform hearts and minds worldwide. Our non-profit organization operates as a fiscal sponsor to worthy projects and is dedicated to fostering a diverse range of creative film and TV endeavors that promote empathy, social consciousness, and environmental awareness. Through collaborations with visionary filmmakers and storytellers, we aspire to create a platform where impactful storytelling becomes the driving force for a brighter and more compassionate future.

Fiscal Sponsor

As a fiscal sponsor, PIP can perform many different administrative functions on behalf of the sponsored production entity or program, including taking on the responsibility of receiving and administering charitable contributions on behalf of the sponsored organization. PIP charges a modest administrative fee for donations received for PIP-approved projects. Funds donated to PIP without a specific designated project are placed in a general fund that helps pay for the development of PIP-worthy projects and educational outreach. Maintaining oversight of the donated funds is a requirement of any PIP fiscal sponsor arrangement.

PIP will consider a wide range of potential films and projects, including those that have already raised partial funding or need project completion funding.

Benefits to Donors

Corporations and individuals can employ tax benefits while supporting worthy projects and programs that reflect their core values and/or the mission of the given foundation. Charitable organizations are sometimes obligated by law to give away five percent of their holdings every year and typically, the IRS requires the money to go to nonprofits organized under 501(c)(3) guidelines. PIP Media is registered to be a valid beneficiary of such contributions.

Individuals with varying philanthropic goals, from celebrity social entrepreneurs to institutional foundations, can benefit from a fiscal sponsorship of PIP projects.

PIP facilitates collaborations by providing an immediate, reputable vehicle for different constituencies—from individuals donating online to private foundations to government entities—to contribute funds.

PIP provides infrastructure and expertise including financial management, compliance, disbursement of funds, grants management, and reporting.

Choose PIP as your fiscal sponsor to amplify your impact and enhance your philanthropic legacy.

Join us in catalyzing change and innovation through strategic collaboration.

Benefits for Filmmakers

PIP provides an opportunity for projects that might typically find a difficult path to greenlight through traditional studios, networks, and streaming services. Our team works with film and television projects in all stages of production, including supporting filmmakers through the crucial phases of distribution, outreach, and engagement.

Our sponsored projects have access to our board and staff, who have decades of experience in film and television production. We also have experienced legal and accounting advisers should we need to call on them. We have the expertise to take on projects of any size, and importantly, our policies and procedures are specifically designed to be filmmaker-friendly and responsive to production timelines.

As fiscal sponsors of your project, PIP will not take any ownership of your work, nor will we infringe on your creative control, or copyright, or prevent you from future sales or profit from your project. PIP seeks to be as non-intrusive and supportive as possible in monitoring projects.
