Jeanette B. Milio

Jeanette Milio is a veteran producer and financier of motion pictures and television programming. Over twenty-five years and working across three continents, she was involved in producing and distributing film and television content totaling $250 million in production volume to date. Jeanette Milio is the CEO of Alliance Cinema, a film and television content, finance, and production company located in Beverly Hills, CA.

 

Ms. Milio worked on the development, financing, production, and/or distribution aspects of over 50 film and television projects with Academy Award® winning talent in front of and behind the camera, which are distributed by studios, networks, and streamers including Paramount, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, HBO, Showtime, ABC, USA Network, Discovery, TLC, National Geographic, as well as Apple, Amazon, and Netflix, in addition to networks and distributors in Europe. Credits include: "Timeshare", starring Timothy Dalton and Nastassia Kinski (distributor:ABC Disney/Freevee and Constantin Film), "13" starring Jason Statham, Academy Award® winning actor Mickey Rourke, Michael Shannon, and Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent (distributor: Paramount Vantage); "The Experiment" starring Academy Award® winning actors Adrien Brody and Forrest Whitaker (distributor: Sony Pictures, Netflix); "Dark Tide" starring Academy Award® winner Halle Berry, directed by John Stockwell (distributor: Lionsgate),  "Global Beauty Masters"(TLC)  and its spin iff "The Look All Stars"  (CW Network), "Operation Hidden Treasures" (Discovery Channel, American Heroes Channel). She further managed the TV series and brand "Dog Whisperer" (National Geographic Channel), and she recently co-created, financed, and produced two seasons for the new series "Dod Masters", which is currently in pre-production.

 

In entertainment finance, Ms. Milio worked in debt financing, bridge lending, and equity financing managing media funds in the U.S. and abroad.  Ms. Milio launched her own film fund (Magnet Media) in 2008, which financed theatrical features and series with a production volume of $60 million to date.

Jeanette B. Milio recently wrote the book "Entertainment Finance Today", a comprehensive guide to financing, producing, and distributing film and television content today. She is a member of the Producer’s Council for The Producers Guild of America and the Cannes Film Festival Producer’s Network.

 

Jeanette enjoys teaching for various educational platforms, including Stage32 and the UCLAx Entertainment Studies Program, where she recently received  Distinguished Instructor Award.

Jim Milio

Jim Milio is an award-winning writer, director and producer who has realized over 500 hours of film and television content, including globally successful feature films, award-winning documentaries, reality and non-fiction television series, mini-series, and specials.

In film, Milio wrote and directed "Men Seeking Women: (Will Ferrell), produced "The Other Side of Hell" (Alan Arkin) for NBC, "It Came from Hollywood" (Dan Ackroyd)  for Paramount Pictures, "Hearts of Fire" a feature for CBS, and he is the co-executive producer of the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".

In television, Milio wrote, directed, and produced nine seasons of the three-time Emmy-nominated television series "Dog Whisperer" for National Geographic, which sold in over 180 countries globally. He co-wrote, directed, and produced during seven seasons of the CBS hit series Rescue911 (William Shatner).  Milio also produced the Emmy-nominated ABC special "Great Moments in Disney Animation", "The Discovery Eco-Challenge Australia", the mini-series "Founding Fathers" for A&E, the mini-series "The History of Sex" for the History Channel, and "Roswell: Startling New Evidence" for the SyFy Channel.

Most recently, Milio produced the new next-generation Dog Whisperer-style series "Dog Masters", which is currently in post-production, as well as the reality series "Operation Hidden Treasures", which recently aired its first season on the Discovery Channel.

Milio was the first co-chair of the Non-Fiction Committee of the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) and was also a member of the Non-Fiction Steering Committee of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) for two years.

Jim Milio recently wrote his first book, "Jim’s Hollywood Finity Stones", a practical guidebook on how to succeed in Hollywood.

Milio has won three People’s Choice Awards and has been nominated for several Emmy Awards and Writer’s Guild Awards.​

In his free time, Jim Milio enjoys teaching "The Business of Entertainment" and "Producing and Directing Reality and Documentary Television" at UCLAx.
